Our responsibility to the environment and the world influences every decision we make with regards to sustainability and conservation.
We are dedicated to educating our employees on best practices in support of our evolving sustainability objectives.
We carry out quality controls at every stage of the supply chain to ensure our products are good for people and the environment.
We are dedicated to environmental sustainability standards for pre-treatment, dyeing, printing, finishing, and washing mills. We work with many globally recognized partners and we are committed to energy and water savings.
We make every effort to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in our stores, offices, store buildouts, and waste management.
In our digital stores, we are dedicated to more sustainable e-commerce practices. Online order boxes are made of reclaimed and reused cardboard certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Our Carbon Footprint
We recognize the threat of global warming. Accordingly, we are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint while helping to support our customers in their own transition to a low carbon economy in alignment with the Paris Agreement.
Our target is to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46.2% by 2030, and to engage 70% of our suppliers to set science-based targets by 2025. We have also begun to integrate 3D technologies into our design and manufacturing processes which will help reduce waste and inefficiencies.
Inditex’s Join Life Program
The Join Life label is used on garments that are produced using the best processes and most sustainable raw materials so that our customers can identify them easily. In order to qualify, products must comply with one of the three following categories: care for fiber, care for water, and/or care for energy.
